It starts with digital design and engineering. Everything after it runs to a plan that's already been proven on screen. Built for the difficult ones too: tight sites, access complications, multiple party walls, challenging designs, high performance targets and fixed deadlines. Our skills: design for manufacture and assembly, SIPs and timber frame installation, integration, project management, cost management, health and safety, manufacturing management, value engineering and customer service.

Do you manufacture?
No. It takes multiple manufactured systems to build a home. We partner with leading manufacturers and focus on how those systems fit together, delivering low energy homes. SIPs and timber frame are our specialism. Where a project calls for it, and it brings clear benefits in delivery and in living in the home, we’ve also built with ICF and volumetric modular.

Shell Build questions
Can I use my own trades inside?
Yes. That's what Shell Build is for. We hand over a weathertight, insulated shell and technical build guides, and your trades take it from first fix to finish.
Are windows and external doors included?
Windows are included in Shell Build. External doors are confirmed in your estimate, as they depend on your design and spec.
My drawings are for a traditional build. Is that a problem?
No. Planning drawings are all we need. We digitally develop your home for SIPs or timber frame, working through engineering, buildability and budget before anything is ordered.
Who is Principal Designer?
We're Principal Contractor on every Shell Build. Principal Designer is a separate role, usually held by your architect. If you don't have one, we'll show you how it's covered in your estimate.
Can I move up to Complete Build later?
Yes. You can decide as your design develops. Complete Build adds internal fit-out and decoration, renewables and smart controls through to handover.
Will my lender and warranty provider accept it?
Our homes are built to be accepted by mainstream lenders and structural warranty providers. Tell us who you're using and we'll work to their requirements.
